98 chevy 2500 door lock and handle
When my door handle was broke and l got my replacement l got it all
assembled and testing it l shut the door and it would not open from
outside.Now l can open it from inside and looking inside the panel at it
the rod from interior and exterior handle is going in to the latch and
looks to be working fine, so i'v scratched my head and come up with
nothing.It has manual locks and windows so no electrical stuff in the way.
There should be two small rods, looking down at the lock on the
inside of the door , one could have come loose. this could keep the door
from opening.
I own a shop, and the best advice anyone could give you is;
remove the panel from the other side of the vehicle, and see what is
different. This way you should be able to see why its not working as it
should be. That sounds like a lot of work, but its the only way sometimes
to figure it out.
